HITCHMAN GOLD # 10 -14 is a great NEW fly from our series of riffling hitch flies called the HITCHMAN series – With a clear tube-body and diminutive strips of holographic coloured tape – Lightly dressed wing made from shimmering strands of peacock-coloured mylar, silver tippet green squirrel and a head covered in special pixel-mylar.

A fly with a delicate but also highly visible impression on the surface – something that has proven to be very attractive to fresh running salmon.

Here the HITCHMAN GOLD from our new great series of riffling hitch flies.
Over + 40 years I have been building highly specialized flies for surface fishing and from many 100´s of fly patterns I only have very few that I would call extraordinarily good – The flies from this series are such flies. I designed them on a notion, putting together some of the best and most seductive details we use in our many other riffling hitch flies and was rewarded with a fly that broke the code and brought a long line of salmon to the top…in such a way that I immediately knew I was onto something special.
We are proud to put forward this fly to all that shop with us at Fishmadman and who have followed our development of flies for this special and addictive form of fishing.

Big Atlantic salmon caught on Hitchman Gold – Owner ST # 14 hooks – 0.27 Maxima. The salmon has battle scares on the jaws from a possible encounter with an illegal gill net.

Iridescent pixel mylar

The Hitchman series have a unique appearance based on the experience we have with various low water lures and flies for salmon and trout – adding these green iridescent pixels to the head of the fly have proven to be very successful. The iridescent material is glued on to the fly with super-glue

Fly is shown with hook – but sold without one!

Depending on your preference, the rules of the riverkeeper or water association you would

choose hooks suited for the river your fishing. To the left, you can see our suggestions on hooks – but we have many more hooks in our hook-category

Small

The overall length of the HITCHMAN series is 35-millimeter with the wing – but a body of only 15 millimeters is equivalent in length to a # 8 hook single fly pattern… But it is a difficult fly to compare to a fly tied on a hook.
